Digital Transformation of Human Resource Management
Digital transformation has significantly altered Human Resource Management (HRM), evolving its function from merely providing administrative support to becoming a strategic force that enhances organizational performance.Although there has been a rapid increase in academic research, current studies are often fragmented and typically focus on technology, culture, or ethics separately. This study addresses this gap by employing a narrative literature review to synthesize conceptual developments in digital HRM from 2015 to 2024, drawing on peer-reviewed articles indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.Through thematic analysis, the study develops and applies the STCE-HRM framework, which conceptualizes digital transformation across four interconnected dimensions: Strategy, Technology, Culture, and Ethics. The results reveal that the success of digital HRM is not solely due to technological advancements but rather the harmonious integration of strategic alignment, advanced digital capabilities, a flexible organizational culture, and strong ethical governance. This study emphasizes that a lack of alignment among these dimensions can hinder organizational performance, whereas their integration can lead to significant improvements in efficiency, talent management, decision-making quality, and employee trust. This study adds to the existing literature by offering a comprehensive analytical framework that enhances theoretical consistency and provides practical advice for creating responsible, sustainable, and performance-driven digital HRM transformations.
