Treks of a Natureculture Mobile Research Station: The Peculiar Atmospheres of “Making Ethics”
By retelling stories of peculiar atmospheres during treks with our natureculture research station, we engage with becoming response-able while making ethics during research practice. Entangling feminist philosophies of agential realism by Karen Barad and nomadic ethics by Rosi Braidotti with multispecies methodologies, we illuminate how peculiar atmospheres are noticeable moments during which ethicality can be felt. This study highlights how through deep attentiveness, ethics emerges as material, affective, and temporal processes. In conclusion, we suggest peculiar atmospheres play an important role in awakening our senses to the ongoing of ethics.
