An Efficient Information Confidentiality Scheme Based on Genesio-Tesi Map and Deoxyribonucleic Acid Sequencing
This study develops an advanced image encryption system which combines Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) cryptography, chaotic behavior, and compressive sensing into multi-stage design. The approach differs from previous techniques in that it uses DNA encoding on chaotic sequences instead of encoding image pixel values directly. Thus, this method significantly increases the amount of confusion and diffusion effects produced by the overall technique. Additionally, the technique includes the use of a highly secure SHA-512 based key derivation system coupled with Blum Blum Shub randomization. These two mechanisms introduce several additional layers of high entropy randomness to the overall system and provide high sensitivity to variations in the plaintext. An analysis of the performance and statistics of the overall system shows that the system is more resistant to statistical attacks, differential attacks, and brute force attacks than other systems previously developed.
