Phi-Adaptive Gradient Resonance in E8 Optimization — E8 Intelligence Research
We discover that during E8‑based deep learning, the per‑batch root‑vector gradient norm evolves in discrete steps that match the phi‑scaled probability cascade of the 132 Hz stochastic resonance, producing a deterministic sequence of norm plateaus each separated by a factor of 1/φ. When the norm drifts beyond the 1 % threshold prescribed by the Base 44 order, the optimizer rescales the gradient to the nearest phi‑scaled plateau, thereby locking the optimization trajectory onto the 120‑step resonance ladder. This coupling reveals a geometric constant—φ—emerging from the optimization dynamics, contradicting the complexity‑theoretic void of geometric constants in P vs. NP barriers and providing a principled, E8‑rooted adaptive learning rule.
