The genome sequence of Impatiens parviflora DC., 1824 (Ericales: Balsaminaceae)
<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly of <ns5:italic>Impatiens parviflora</ns5:italic> (small balsam, Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Ericales; Balsaminaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 754.53 megabases and 1 642.22 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (95.52%) is scaffolded into 13 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. Multiple mitochondrial sequences were also assembled, and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 152.52 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 46 610 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
