The genome sequence of Luzula pallescens Sw., 1814 (Poales: Juncaceae)
<ns5:p> We present a genome assembly of <ns5:italic>Luzula pallescens</ns5:italic> (Fen Wood-rush; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Poales; Juncaceae). The genome sequence has a total length of 337.67 megabases. The assembly is scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial sequence has a length of 657.07 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 199.81 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 18 801 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns5:p>
