WHAT AI WILL NEVER REPLACE: FIVE LEADERSHIP SKILLS THAT MATTER MOST

Abstract The author notes that ″as a leadership strategist and advisor working with Chief Executive Officers/CEOs and executive teams, I've seen firsthand that organizations often overestimate the power of technology while underestimating the complexity of human behavior, culture, and trust. Her ″firm, SHAMBAUGH Leadership, has identified the following five human leadership skills that matter most in the AI era: (1) Emotional Intelligence (EI) (2) Strategic Foresight (3) Adaptability and Learning Agility (4) Collaboration, Communication, and Influence (5) Ethical and Human‐Centered Decision‐Making.″For instance, within skill one she writes, “Leaders who can recognize fear, uncertainty, fatigue, and resistance — while still creating clarity, confidence, and direction — will sustain trust and performance through transformation.” In skill two, she writes that “seeing sooner is now more important than acting faster.” In skill three, she contends that “When executives model curiosity, recalibration, and strategic agility, they create more resilient and adaptive organizations.”
