Skin‐Inspired Janus Architecture Self‐Decoupled Dual‐Module Sensing System for Smart Home Health Management

ABSTRACT Asymmetric chemistry deconstructs the intrinsic law of selective reactions from the molecular scale, but how to extend it to heterogeneous integration of sensing modules via asymmetric structural chemistry at the mesoscopic scale remains a major challenge. Moreover, traditional 2D or 3D multi‐module film‐based sensors are integrated in the same plane or in a vertical direction via complex processing, and mutual electromagnetic field disturbance between sensing modules causes serious signal interference and crosstalk. Herein, asymmetric structural chemistry for novel decoupling of ionic and electronic pathways within a Janus dual‐module sensor is first proposed. The system integrates a conductive LP(LA‐g‐CNF/polyaniline (PANI)) resistive gas sensor and non‐conductive LC (LA‐g‐CNF/CNTs/ISM) voltage ion sensor by synergistic non‐covalent interactions. Due to active sulfhydryl groups and stable disulfide bonds, the Janus LPLC (LCNF/PANI‐LCNF/CNTs) film‐based sensor has high sensitivity and sodophilicity, ultra‐low detection limits (62, 116 ppb of LP, 4.26 × 10 −8 M of the modified LC, far below any sensors), great cycle life and interfacial stability. Finally, Janus decoupling of ionic and electronic pathways provides dual‐module sensing and a self‐decoupling effect, enabling smart capturing of formaldehyde and ammonia gases during practical human signal monitoring. This work shows great promising application of self‐decoupled electronics for smart home health management.
