Mass Predictor for Spiral Galaxies from Rotation Curves, Te/Tc
The Te/Tc model provides an empirical relation between the flat rotation velocity of a spiral galaxy and its baryonic mass: M = v^4 / (k(v)^2 * G) The interception coefficient k(v) is a double sigmoid with linear drift, calibrated on 175 SPARC galaxies and validated on 241 galaxies from independent catalogs (ALFALFA, LITTLE THINGS, Local Group, and high-velocity sample). Mean accuracy: 100.5%, median: 100.0%. Input: one velocity measurement (km/s) on the flat part of the rotation curve. Output: baryonic mass (solar masses). No dark matter required for normal spiral galaxies.
