Emergent Monopoles in a Dilute Polymer Solution
This is a historical reissue of a 2015 study exploring monopole emergence in dilute polymer solutions, with emphasis on cellulose‑based papermaking systems. The paper applies Flory’s theory of rodlike molecules to fiber–water slurries and examines thickness distributions in historical and traditional Japanese papers. The results are interpreted in the context of monopole resonance and phase separation, extending the phenomenological framework introduced in Emergent Monopoles in Spin and Water Ices. Several interpretations have since been refined in later work (2016–2026), but the document is preserved in its original form for archival completeness. Only minor editorial adjustments have been made for clarity; the scientific content remains unchanged.
