Computation of the centroid of the zeros for a broad family of semiclassical orthogonal polynomials constructed via cubic decomposition

In this paper, we derive explicit expressions for the characteristic elements of the structure relation and the second-order linear differential equation for a broad family of semiclassical orthogonal polynomials of class one arising through cubic decomposition. As an application, we compute the centroid of the zeros of this family.

Abstract

In this paper, we derive explicit expressions for the characteristic elements of the structure relation and the second-order linear differential equation for a broad family of semiclassical orthogonal polynomials of class one arising through cubic decomposition. As an application, we compute the centroid of the zeros of this family.
