Effects of New Materials on Technological Innovation and Sustainability
This review examines the role of advanced materials in shaping future technologies and sustainable development. The paper discusses four major dimensions of new materials: improving efficiency and performance, enabling new functions and applications, supporting sustainability, and creating new industries. Case studies including graphene, artificial muscles, and self-healing materials illustrate how material science contributes to technological innovation, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. The review highlights the strategic importance of advanced materials for next-generation engineering and industrial transformation.
