Developing a Regenerative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for SMEs Evidence from EVRBLISS Eco Concept Showroom in Sri Lanka

Developing a Regenerative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem for SMEs: Evidence from EVRBLISS Eco Concept Showroom in Sri Lanka is an empirical research article that explores how Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies can implement regenerative entrepreneurship through collaborative business ecosystems. Using a qualitative case study of the EVRBLISS Eco Concept Showroom in Sri Lanka, the study examines how environmental regeneration, circular business innovation, entrepreneur collaboration, digital enablement, and community impact can be integrated into a practical and scalable business model. The research demonstrates that regenerative entrepreneurship extends beyond traditional circular economy practices by creating positive environmental, social, and economic outcomes while strengthening local value chains and entrepreneurial resilience. The findings provide empirical evidence supporting the Regenerative Circular Economy Framework (RCEF) and introduce the concept of a Regenerative Entrepreneurial Ecosystem as an integrated approach for sustainable SME development. This study contributes to the literature on regenerative entrepreneurship, circular economy, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and SME sustainability by bridging theory and practice through a real-world case from an emerging economy. It offers practical insights for entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, and development organizations seeking to foster regenerative business models that restore ecosystems, empower local communities, and advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This article is the second publication in the Regenerative SME Transformation Series, which investigates how SMEs can transition from conventional business models to regenerative enterprises through conceptual development, empirical validation, and digital innovation.
