The Asymmetry of Power: Formalizing Authority Recovery Constraints in Distributed Governance

Governance Recovery Constraint Model (GRCM) Version 1.0. This archival release preserves the first public version of the Governance Recovery Constraint Model (GRCM), introducing a theoretical framework explaining why institutional authority recovery is structurally more difficult than authority loss in distributed governance systems. Version 1.0 establishes the original formulation of governance recovery constraints and serves as the historical foundation for subsequent theoretical development. This version has been superseded by Governance Recovery Constraint Model (GRCM) Version 2.0, which expands the framework through authority provenance, institutional realignment, and integration with the broader Institutional Authority Dynamics (IAD) research program. This Zenodo record is provided to preserve the scholarly development history of the framework.
