Fossil Gravity Theory: Research Overview and Publication Index (2026)
This overview documents the development of the fossil gravity theory (FossileGravitationstheorie) - a research programme that began with a single question: how cangravitational lensing arise without a detectable mass behind it? Standard cosmology attributessuch effects to dark matter. This theory proposes a different answer. The starting point was theobservation that gravitational lensing strength does not always correlate with luminous mass.Instead of postulating an invisible substance, the question was asked: what if gravity carries a fossil memory of past mass distributions? Master Document v1/v2 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19654996), together with Supplements I-IV, developed this idea into a formal framework: a causal order axiom from which the gravitational field equation follows without free parameters. As is typical in science, each solved problem revealed the next. What is the structure of the transition zone between metric spacetime and pregeometric causal order?Supplements V-X explored Zone ε - the phase boundary surface Σ - and derived measurablepredictions: the dark energy equation of state w(z), gravitational wave signatures, and thebehaviour of neutron stars. The document "Effect without Cause" (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20185273) showed that quantum mechanics emerges as a limiting case of the same field equation. Master Document v4 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20831181) unified all results into the complete revised theory. The Schrödinger equation is derived as a theorem: the imaginary unit i, the action quantum ℏ, and the Hamiltonian Ĥ all follow from the structure ofZone ε (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20835129). As a further consequence of the causal quotientstructure, the Riemann Hypothesis emerges as a theorem of causal structure (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20680685). The non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function correspond to the points at which causal difference ceases to exist - an isomorphism Hᴿₑₗ ≅ L²(ℍ²/SL(2,ℤ)) proved by two independent paths. Nine open problems in theoretical physics are addresseddirectly by the theory (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20834280). Shortly after publication, the firstindependent confirmations arrived. The LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration published results ongravitational wave events GW240925 and GW250207 using a new astrophysical calibrationmethod (Phys. Rev. Lett., arXiv:2605.11703, May 2026). These results are consistent with threepredictions of the fossil theory. All three observations became known after the preprints listedhere were published. The theory is built on one axiom, contains no free parameters beyond twoempirical calibrations (Λₚᶜᴰ and h), and makes falsifiable predictions at every level - fromcosmological dark energy to quantum mechanics to neutron star structure.
