Impact of Digital Technologies on Peace Education in Nepalese Secondary Schools
The growing integration of digital technologies in education has created new opportunities to improve teaching and learning worldwide. Digital platforms, online learning tools, and multi media resources increasingly influence not only academic instruction but also the development of students’ social and ethical competencies. Peace education, which promotes tolerance, empathy, dialogue, and conflict resolution, is essential for building harmonious relationships in culturally diverse societies. In Nepal, secondary schools provide an important environment for nurturing these values among adolescents. This article examines the impact of digital technologies on peace education in Nepalese secondary schools, highlighting their potential to support interactive learning, intercultural understanding, and collaborative dialogue, while also addressing challenges such as unequal access, limited teacher training, and risks within digital environments.
