Cosmic Microwave Background as the Sole Possible Source of 1/f Baseline Noise in Biological Systems: An Impossibility Argument and Cross-Kingdom Verification

This paper presents an impossibility argument proving that the true randomness of 1/f baseline noise in biological systems cannot originate from within the system: deterministic systems (classical physical layer) cannot produce true randomness; internal quantum sources (thermal noise) have white spectrum (β=0) inconsistent with measured 1/f spectrum (β≈1). CMB is the sole external source satisfying all constraints: true randomness, 1/f spectrum (β=0.96), persistent undamped, isotropic, and universal. Cross-kingdom prediction (1/f noise in plants) verified by four independent datasets. CMB is positioned within the Four Properties of Matter framework, where multi-state coupling directly predicts cross-kingdom universality. Eigengrau—the visual noise everyone sees with closed eyes—is the most accessible observational anchor of CMB's biological effect.
