Quality Assessment Metrics of Group Acceptance Sampling Plan Indexed with Half Normal Distribution
The assessment of quality metrics defines a significant role in acceptance–rejection criteria of products from any manufacturing industry, challenging the producer’s risk and the consumer’s risk. The proposed work aims to formulate a structural framework by studying the reliability of products and ensuring the effective sampling plan methodology. Thy group acceptance sampling plan (GASP) is promoted with truncated life tests using a Half-Normal distribution, and this study seeks to provide a more accurate assessment of the quality characteristics of the items. For a given group size, the optimum number of groups and the acceptance number required are determined for the specified consumer’s risk with test termination time. Operating characteristic function values with their corresponding curve and minimum ratio for the given producer’s risk are tabulated. Real-life example data sets are provided, and a comparison was made between SSP and GASP, which is also shown.
