A Conjecture of Matter:A Tentative Derivation of Neutrino Absolute Mass from the Geometric Relaxation Framework
The absolute scale of neutrino masses remains unknown. Oscillation experiments measure mass-squared differences but do not determine the absolute mass scale. Laboratory constraints provide only upper limits ( m_\nu < 0.45 eV from KATRIN, and \Sigma m_\nu < 0.12 eV from cosmology). This paper presents a tentative, exploratory derivation of the absolute neutrino mass scale from the geometric relaxation framework. In this framework, the total geometric relaxation progress \epsilon(t) is coupled to the mass-generation mechanism. The derivation yields a normal mass ordering with a lightest mass m_1 \approx 0.00715 eV, a middle mass m_2 \approx 0.0102 eV, and a heaviest mass m_3 \approx 0.0146 eV, with mass-squared differences \Delta m_{21}^2 \approx 5.5\times10^{-5} eV² and \Delta m_{32}^2 \approx 2.2\times10^{-3} eV², consistent with current oscillation constraints. This calculation is explicitly tentative. It does not constitute a definitive measurement of neutrino mass, nor does it claim that the geometric relaxation framework is the only possible explanation. Rather, it offers a hypothesis for further investigation: that neutrino masses may be distributed by a geometric allocation law. The limitations and falsifiability conditions of this approach are discussed in detail. (Note on AI-Assisted Computation Certain mathematical derivations and physical calculations in this paper were performed by an AI tool (large language model) based on the theoretical framework and postulate system provided by the author. Specifically, the AI tool contributed to: formula derivation, equation solving, integral evaluation, series summation, and recalculation verification of established quantum mechanical results. All physical insights, core assumptions, logical premises, and the theoretical framework itself were independently developed by the author. The AI tool served solely as an auxiliary instrument for mathematical derivation and computational verification, comparable in role to symbolic computation software or numerical tools routinely employed by researchers. The author has reviewed every derived result for physical plausibility, consistency with known experimental data, and logical coherence, and assumes full responsibility for all conclusions. This statement is provided in the interest of academic transparency, while clearly distinguishing between the originality of ideas and the auxiliary role of computation.)
