Physicochemical and Microbiological Quality of Deep Well Water in Sitio Cabalawan, Barangay Rizal, Surigao City, Philippines: Implications for Domestic Water Safety and Public Health
Dataset for the study "Physicochemical and Microbiological Quality of Deep Well Water in Sitio Cabalawan, Barangay Rizal, Surigao City, Philippines: Implications for Domestic Water Safety and Public Health." This dataset contains the laboratory results supporting the findings of the study. Water samples were collected from three representative deep well water supply configurations in Sitio Cabalawan, Barangay Rizal, Surigao City, Philippines, namely: (1) a communal hand pump (DW1), (2) a household hand pump (DW2), and (3) a household faucet supplied through an elevated storage tank (DW3). The dataset includes physicochemical parameters (temperature, pH, total dissolved solids, nitrate, and iron) analyzed by Cotecna Elite Philippines Laboratory, and microbiological parameters (heterotrophic plate count, total coliforms, and thermotolerant coliforms) analyzed by the Water Bacteriology Laboratory of Caraga Regional Hospital. These data support the analyses and conclusions presented in the associated manuscript and are provided to promote transparency, reproducibility, and future groundwater quality research.
