Dallas Willard on the Christian Character Crisis

This article responds to Keas Keasler’s book, Kingdom Apprenticeship , by summarizing its contents, explaining its contribution to scholarship on Dallas Willard, and providing two practical suggestions for local church ministry. Keasler’s book is an exciting addition to Willard scholarship, furthering a clearer understanding of how Willard’s philosophy is foundational to his spiritual formation model. At this point in Willard scholarship, more understanding is needed of his perspective. Joining Willard scholar Michael Stewart Robb, Keasler robustly contributes to Willard scholarship, showing that Willard addresses today’s Christian character crisis in a compellingly practical way.
