The Hidden Process Between Understanding and Expression in Human Communication
Part 2: This version 1.1.0 introduces visual representations of the theoretical framework developed in this manuscript. This updated version adds conceptual figures designed to clarify the distinction between communicative compensation and communicative development, including the Compensation–Development Gap (CDG) model and its underlying theoretical mechanisms. The added visual material does not modify the core theoretical propositions of the original manuscript. Instead, it provides a clearer structural representation of the proposed framework, illustrating how substitute communication channels may satisfy communicative needs while potentially leaving the development of oral communication capacities as an independent process requiring separate conditions. This version also improves the presentation of the theoretical architecture by making explicit the relationships between deficit, substitution, satisfaction, perceived resolution, and latent deficit persistence. The manuscript remains a conceptual/theoretical contribution intended to generate testable hypotheses and guide future empirical investigation.
