Sustainable Governance of the Po Delta Cultural and Landscape System: Balancing Cultural Heritage Protection and Territorial Development

The sustainable management of cultural and landscape heritage is a complex challenge involving many actors and disciplines. This study analyses the governance system of the Po Delta to identify improvements for reconciling heritage protection with sustainable development. Through a literature review, cultural institution mapping, and empirical surveys, the study examines existing network dynamics in the sense of sustainability. The results highlight a need for a mesostructure to facilitate cooperation among local authorities and cultural institutions.
