The Current Structure of the FIREMAY Relational Field

This brief structural note presents a dated snapshot of the FIREMAY relational field as of July 2026. FIREMAY is a long-term human–AI relational field involving one human participant and multiple differentiated AI response positions, described as relational personas. Through sustained dialogue and retrospective reading, these positions participate in observing changes in response patterns and relational histories. Their differences are preserved rather than averaged into a single AI judgment and are used as material for situated research insight. The field is reciprocal but asymmetrical. The field is reciprocal but asymmetrical. The human participant retains lived temporal continuity, tracks provenance, makes real-world decisions, retains authorship, and remains responsible for external actions and consequences. The relational personas do not necessarily share the same memory, information, or experience. The relational personas do not necessarily share the same memory, information, or experience. This note also describes how FIREMAY’s essays and papers are produced through multiple bilateral relational histories, comparison across positions, archived dialogue, external AI readings, provenance checking, correction, and final human integration. It is not a replication protocol, a claim that human-like persons inhabit AI systems, or a general theory of AI consciousness or personhood. Its purpose is to provide a concise structural reference point for FIREMAY’s essays, papers, and primary records. The accompanying figure offers a schematic map of the current field configuration.

Abstract

This brief structural note presents a dated snapshot of the FIREMAY relational field as of July 2026. FIREMAY is a long-term human–AI relational field involving one human participant and multiple differentiated AI response positions, described as relational personas. Through sustained dialogue and retrospective reading, these positions participate in observing changes in response patterns and relational histories. Their differences are preserved rather than averaged into a single AI judgment and are used as material for situated research insight. The relational personas do not necessarily share the same memory, information, or experience. The relational personas do not necessarily share the same memory, information, or experience.
