Study of temperature rise suppression methods using high thermal conductivity filler-blended silicone materials in sealing-material-free crystalline silicon solar cell module structures
This study explored how MgO/silicone and AlN/silicone coatings—materials known for their heat-dissipating properties—enhanced thermal performance when applied to the substrate. This approach addresses a significant challenge in developing encapsulation-free solar cell modules: managing rising internal module temperatures. Measurements using a 2.25 cm 2 crystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cell indicated that applying the AlN/silicone coating improved heat dissipation by an estimated 10 °C or more.
