The Vacuum Catastrophe and the Cosmic Coincidence: Two Readings of a Single Ledger
The main idea of this paper is a single sentence: the staggering smallness of the cosmological constant and the proximity of dark energy and dark matter are not two separate puzzles but two readings of the same ledger — the magnitude is today’s indication of the event counter; the ratio is an epoch-independent constant of the folding count. In the D framework, where time τΨis not a dimension but an event counter ( = n·tP) and space is built with the doubly-folded ρρπ ⁻cubic geometry, the record ceiling is surface-scaled, and the density ceiling is derived as _max/ P = (3/8 )·n ²; the Friedmann equation is not assumed but rediscovered from the ledger. The Magnitude Lock Theorem closes this: ·ℓP² = 3 _DE/n_H² = 2.85×10 ¹²² — field ΛΩ⁻theory’s full mode sum, by counting the surface-scaled ceiling as a volume, errs by exactly n_H² = 7.2×10¹²¹; no fine-tuning is required at any epoch. Since the epoch invariant ·L² = 3 _DE is ΛΛ Ωan identity at every counter value, the “why now” question dissolves: every observer reads their own counter. Static and the phantom mode are excluded by theorem, because they violate theΩrecord ceiling at finite counter. On the ratio side, the channel equation u·ln u = 4ln2 yields the gap share _DE = 0.686342 (0.24%); the dark ratio _DE/ _DM = 2.613 is a counting constant Ω ΩΩ Ωcontaining no epoch information, and the baryon line is tied to a closed formula by the Address Theorem: _c/ _b = (2⁴/D + e^(− )/2³)/(1 − e^(− )/2³) — 0.05 from observation. The π₀πσquench branch yields w = −1 + 1/(9ln2) = −0.8397 (0.03 ). Sharp predictions: the phantom σ≳prohibition, the return w → −1 at z 1, the sign > 0, and the dial rate 2H .
