Data Governance Plan for the Development of the Dominican Republic Energy Spatial Data Infrastructure - Presentation
This presentation summarizes the development of a Data Governance Plan for the Dominican Republic Energy Spatial Data Infrastructure (Energy SDI). It presents the governance challenges affecting energy geospatial data, the proposed institutional and technical framework, and a phased implementation roadmap based on open-source technologies, international metadata standards, and the FAIR Data Principles. The presentation was developed as part of the Energy Modelling Platform Global (EMP-G) Capacity Building Programme and highlights how improved geospatial data governance can support energy resilience planning, infrastructure management, and evidence-based decision-making in the Dominican Republic.
