Kshatriya Pawar (Pawar/Bhoyar/Bhoyar Pawar): A Brief Study
Pawar, also known as Pawar, Bhoyar, or Bhoyar Pawar, are an Indo-Aryan Hindu community primarily settled in the districts of Betul, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna in Madhya Pradesh, as well as in the Wardha district of Maharashtra. According to the community's traditional history, they trace their ancestry to Rajput lineages of Malwa, who migrated to the Satpura region between the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries in response to political upheavals following the decline of the Paramara (Parmar) dynasty. Community tradition further maintains that their migration, ancestry, and clan history have been preserved through the hereditary genealogical records maintained by Bhat (Rao/Badwa) genealogists.
