The role of family relationships, quality of recovery, and cannabis disorder in rehabilitation program success in the Philippines
Objective The present study explored the associations between family relationships, recovery quality, and cannabis disorder and their impact on the success of substance use disorder (SUD) rehabilitation. Methods Family relationships, quality recovery, and cannabis disorder were assessed among 430 participants recruited from multiple rehabilitation centers in the Philippines. The influence of family closeness, quality of recovery, sex, and cannabis disorder on rehabilitation success was analyzed. Results The findings indicated that rehabilitation success was positively affected by solid family support and a high quality of recovery. However, cannabis disorder showed a complex relationship with outcomes but had less significant effects than family relationships and quality recovery. Conclusion Therefore, integrated family and personalized support are crucial in enhancing rehabilitation success in SUD recovery.
