Regnase-1 upregulation via antisense oligonucleotides alleviates pulmonary hypertension

Extract
Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive disease characterized by pulmonary arterial remodelling, leading to right ventricular failure [1]. Genetic background and environmental factors are thought to be involved in the onset of PAH [2]. Accumulating evidence from multiple studies supports the involvement of various inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin (IL)-6 and IL-1, as extrinsic contributors to the pathogenesis of PAH [3–5].
