Recent Research Progress and Applications in Porous Materials: A Visualization-based Analysis

The progress and application of porous materials have attracted increasing attention. At present, porous materials are widely used in various industries, such as metallurgy, petroleum, chemical engineering, textiles, medicine, and brewing, as well as in the national defense and military fields. In this review, the preparation methods and applications of porous materials were summarized. The development process of materials were analyzed using CiteSpace. The results indicated that with the development of technology, porous materials have evolved from traditional hydrothermal synthesis to modern methods. The application of porous materials mainly focuses on adsorbents in the carbon capture, separation, and storage, which is currently a cutting-edge research direction. The research on the acoustic properties, sound absorption mechanisms, and structural optimization of porous materials is targeted at scenarios like building noise reduction and acoustic engineering. Moreover, the applications of porous materials has advanced from improving material properties to ensuring safe use and degradability. Finally, the current research mainly on the preparation, methods, and applications of porous materials were summarized.
