The Breaking Cascade: Order, Chirality and the Origin of Maximal Parity Violation from Triality

Parity violation is among the most striking facts in physics: the weak interaction couples only to left-handed fermions, and it does so maximally — a pure V−A structure, never partial. The Standard Model accommodates this by hand. We propose an origin within the G2 framework, in which the matter sectors are the three eight-dimensional representations of SO(8) related by triality, and symmetry breaking proceeds as a weight-ordered cascade. We make three claims. First, the breaking order is set by the sector weights acting as the quadratic coefficients of a Landau free energy — the sector of largest weight condenses first, giving a definite cascade. Second, the cascade breaks triality, rendering the two spinor representations inequivalent, so that matter becomes chiral and parity violation exists. Third, and most consequentially, because triality is a discrete symmetry (the order-three group S₃), its breaking is all-or-nothing: chirality is binary, and parity violation is therefore forced to be maximal, not partial. The observed pure V−A structure follows from the discreteness of triality. We identify the remaining open quantity — the absolute scale at which the right-handed sector decouples — as an instance of the single irreducible scale of a compact-algebra framework, and state the result with that limit explicit.
