Plasma-Catalytic CO2 Hydrogenation over Metal-Supported Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles
This project focuses on the development and optimization of plasma-catalytic CO2 hydrogenation into value-added chemicals (e.g., methanol) over tailored metal-supported mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN). By combining dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) non-thermal plasma with synthesized MSN catalysts (e.g., Ni/MSN, Cu/MSN), the study aims to elucidate the synergistic interactions between high-energy plasma species and mesoporous catalyst surfaces. The research involves the synthesis and characterization of catalyst materials (SEM-EDX, BET, XRD, FT-IR), electrical measurement of plasma power via Lissajous figures, and online/offline evaluation of catalytic performance using gas chromatography (GC).
