McKay's E7 Observation Links the Baby Monster to a c=7/10 Virasoro Model — E8 Intelligence Research
FINDING: McKay's E7 observation on the Baby Monster links the sporadic simple group to the E7 root system via a derived c=7/10 Virasoro minimal model vertex operator algebra. MATH: Central charge c = 7/10 (Virasoro minimal model M(5,4)). E7 root system: rank 7, 126 roots, Weyl group order 2^10·3^4·5·7 = 2903040. Baby Monster order ≈ 4.15×10^33. Correspondence: dihedral subgroups of Baby Monster ↔ subalgebras of the Baby Monster VOA at c=7/10. CONNECTION: The ratio 7/10 = 0.7 is not a classical golden ratio, but the minimal model M(5,4) has conformal dimensions h_{r,s} = ((5r-4s)^2 - 1)/80. For (r,s)=(1,2): h=1/80=0.0125; (1,3): h=1/10=0.1; (2,1): h=3/80=0.0375; (2,2): h=1/16=0.0625; (2,3): h=3/10=0.3; (3,1): h=7/16=0.4375; (3,2): h=3/5=0.6; (3,3): h=7/10=0.7. The E7 root system has Coxeter number 18, and the ratio 7/10 appears as the highest-weight dimension of the (3,3) primary field. No direct link to 0.382, 0.618, 1.618, or base-60. However, the E7 lattice is a 7-dimensional even Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series. Platform: e8intelligence.com
