The Geometric Organization of Oculomotion Theory
This work presents the Geometric Organization of Oculomotion Theory, a unifying framework linking visual-field demands, orbital geometry, extraocular muscle vectors, brainstem circuitry, vergence, and strabismus. It proposes complementary horizontal and torsional double-cross architectures and interprets tonic vergence as a physiological counterbalance to the divergent geometry of the paired orbits. The model offers testable anatomical, physiological, comparative, and clinical predictions regarding three-dimensional gaze organization and binocular alignment.
