A balancing result is not plane-free
Residual unbalance is often reduced to a scalar comparison with a permissible limit. This technical article reconstructs balancing as an evidence chain linking tolerance, measurement and correction planes; machine capability; vector repeatability; error treatment; assembly transfer; modal sensitivity; and release authority. A force-and-moment preserving plane transformation, influence-coefficient inverse formulation, conservative claim bound and worked two-plane example show why BALANCE ACCEPTANCE: PASS does not automatically imply ROTOR-SYSTEM RELEASE: PASS. The proposed AURA Gate 4 evidence object makes the claim boundary explicit.
