RSV-associated hospitalizations among American Indian and Alaska Native children in Alaska and the Southwest United States, 2019-2023
We conducted active surveillance for acute respiratory infection (ARI) among hospitalized AI/AN children ages <5 years at select health facilities in Alaska and the Southwest United States. Children in these communities continue to experience high rates of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-associated hospitalization, underscoring the need for prevention products.
