War on consciousness: Palestinian false propaganda in the war of attrition 1967–1970

In the new circumstances following the Six Day War, Fatah, the central Palestinian national movement and the dominant organization among the Palestinian guerrilla groups, found an option to create a new public opinion. In various terrorist and guerilla operations, they attacked the settlements on the Jordanian border, but were not always successful in their mission. However, on the level of consciousness, the Palestinians had a great success. This article describes and analyzes the Palestinian false propaganda during these years of the war of attrition, its influence and the failure of the Israeli government in the face of it.
