Data on the Perm region fauna of craneflies (Diptera: Pediciidae, Limoniidae, Tipulidae)
We present a preliminary list of the Tipuloidea species recorded in the Perm region (17 species from 3 families). Most species demonstrate the Trans‑Palearctic distribution pattern. The updated Perm region fauna now comprises 22 species of Pediciidae, Limoniidae, and Tipulidae. No species of Cylindrotomidae has yet been identified by imago. Our findings highlight the underdocumented diversity of Tipuloidea in the Perm region. Urban habitats contributed significantly to the species records, suggesting the importance of some cranefly species to anthropogenic environments.
