Architectural Reconstruction of an Ultra-Low-Resource Geospatial Flight Simulator and Photogrammetric Reconstruction of Historic Infrastructure: A Technical Post-Mortem
This research paper details the engineering of a geospatial flight simulation engine and the manual photogrammetric reconstruction of the 1887 British Raj Gandak Bridge. Developed on a low-resource Dell Inspiron between 2018 and 2022, the project utilized custom Linux kernel optimizations to execute complex Unity physics loops and Google Maps API data streaming. Following a catastrophic hardware failure in 2022, this paper serves as a formal post-mortem to preserve the architectural logic, mathematical models, and development pipelines. The manuscript documents the manual vertex-by-vertex reconstruction of the historic bridge using photogrammetry and the modification of flight telemetry scripts for low-end hardware. This documentation formalizes these intellectual assets to establish independent engineering authorship.
