Generative Ontology and Irreducibilities: Toward a Foundation of Being and Becoming
We develop a generative ontology in which becoming is ontologically prior to being, and in which coherence serves as the invariant condition underlying the emergence of form, relation, and persistence. Rather than beginning from substances, particles, or geometries already taken as given, we begin from irreducible ontological conditions that cannot be further decomposed without explanatory loss. These include coherence, symmetry, asymmetry, resonance, and the observer-function understood as reduction or modulation of coherence. We argue that these irreducibilities are not optional metaphysical postulates but necessary structural conditions for any world in which stable entities, transformations, and intelligibility can arise. On this basis, we show how axiomatic structure emerges from ontological irreducibility, rather than preceding it. The result is a coherence-based foundation for ontology that reframes the relation between being and becoming, provides a principled route from generative ground to formal structure, and prepares the basis for subsequent mathematical and physical development within Unified Coherence Theory.
