The Subtle Particle Model (SPM), the Repulsive Gravity Model (RGM), and the Propagation of Epistemological Error in Peer-Reviewed Academic Systems
This essay analyses the mechanisms by which interpretative errors propagate and amplify within institutional scientific research. To simplify matters, a geometric model based on a bifurcated graph is proposed, in which theoretical development is understood as a sequence of constrained binary choices. It is demonstrated that the adoption of an erroneous interpretative hypothesis in the early stages of a discipline generates a divergent theoretical trajectory, characterised by the emergence of paradoxes of increasing complexity. Finally, the socio-economic factors stabilising the error (funding mechanisms and distortions in the peer review system) are examined. The Subtle Particle Model (SPM) [2] and the Repulsive Gravity Model (RGM) [3] are proposed as paradigms for overcoming the aporias of contemporary physics.
