Digital betting as a commercial determinant of health
Digital betting has changed the public health problem posed by gambling. The decisive shift is not merely from illegality to regulation, or from casinos to sport. It is from an intermittent activity to a continuous commercial exposure. A betting platform now reaches the person through the same phone used to receive wages, manage debt, follow football, and move money. The casino has lost its walls and gained access to household liquidity.
