The Biospheric Stem Cell Model: A Counter-Abiogenesis Paradigm on the Origins of Life
Abstract: This paper presents a definitive challenge to the mainstream paradigm of chemical abiogenesis, refuting the reductionist assertion that biological life spontaneously emerges from bottom-up chemical self-assembly. By establishing the Axiom of Material Passivity, the paper demonstrates that raw matter remains entirely reactive and possesses zero autonomous capacity to generate independent teleological intent for cross-generational replication of negative entropy. Instead, this framework proposes that life arises from a primary, non-stochastically emerging command: the Life Code. Operating with the same ontological primacy as fundamental laws of physics, the Life Code is an organized teleological signal of existential persistence achieved through growth, repair, defense, and reproduction installed through a necessary, highly complex material arrangement. Like all fundamental laws and primary structures of nature, this material configuration was established uniquely at the origin of the universe; consequently, it cannot spontaneously re-form at any later point in time. This specific material structure and arrangement in the body continuously broadcasts the Life Code Electromagnetic Interface (LCEMI) field that utilizes bioelectric and EM signaling to manipulate the charge of the body. Crucially, we decouple the universal Life Code from the Material Life Code—the passive, physical-structural template left behind in the body. While the Material Life Code can be mechanically manipulated in vitro to simulate biological responsiveness via artificial signals, an organism is genuinely alive only when its material substrate (body) is actively commanded by the primary Life Code signal, not by human-made signals. By introducing the Biospheric Stem Cell Hypothesis, this framework flatly rejects the evolutionary narrative of bottom-up, incremental complexity accumulation over deep time. We demonstrate that the biosphere has remained collectively complex throughout history, while individual complexity has systematically depleted. Primordial life forms did not begin as rudimental metabolic loops; rather, they were installed at a state of maximum, highly concentrated individual complexity. These ancestral “biospheric stem cell organisms” possessed a tightly packed, universal, but fundamentally unstable thermodynamic and electromagnetic architecture. To attain long-term structural and electromagnetic stability against chaotic environmental forces, this ancestral lineage systematically unrolled, differentiated, and streamlined. Over geological time, individual organisms shed their universal malleability to specialize within localized thermodynamic niches, trading individual complexity for environmental stability. Consequently, modern organisms are highly specialized, stripped-down fragments of a singular, highly concentrated primordial state. This framework shifts the study of biological origin and diversification from accidental chemical emergence to top-down, field-mediated information embodiment.
