SNAPKITTYWEST: Sovereign Compute Architecture with Linear Types, WORM Seals, Goldilocks Field Arithmetic, and Settlement Witnesses

SNAPKITTYWEST is an open-source sovereign computing framework that explores the intersection of systems programming, formal methods, cryptographic provenance, agent governance, and compiler design through a modular, local-first architecture. The current release comprises 18 interrelated software modules spanning linear type systems, compiler infrastructure, cryptographic addressing, finite-field arithmetic, distributed agent governance, esoteric programming language research, topological quantum computing experiments, port-Hamiltonian differential-algebraic equation modeling, and append-only WORM (Write Once, Read Many) artifact management. The architecture emphasizes deterministic execution, reproducibility, and verifiable software engineering through: Linear resource management implemented via a five-level type hierarchy (lin, aff, un, cap, seal) Cryptographically sealed artifact provenance using append-only SHA-256 WORM chains Deterministic canonical addressing through snapaddr:<64hex> content identifiers Goldilocks prime field arithmetic over p=264−232+1p = 2^{64} - 2^{32} + 1p=264−232+1 for finite-field computation Formal verification workflows integrating Lean 4 with deterministic compilation pipelines Policy-driven agent governance for auditable multi-agent execution Local-first infrastructure designed to minimize dependence on centralized cloud services This release expands the ecosystem with several new components, including: sovereign-addr — deterministic canonical content addressing (snapaddr:<64hex>) sovereign-prism — OCaml implementation of a typed ψ-pipeline for structural inference sovereign-pirtm — C++ compiler infrastructure for typed intermediate representations sovereign-agt — C# governance framework for agent identity, policy enforcement, and orchestration sovereign-multiplicity — deterministic execution and computational algebra modules sovereign-adr — architectural decision record framework root-fontana — constitutional compiler and symbolic governance layer Development is tracked through Git with cryptographically verifiable commit history beginning 2026-05-07, providing a reproducible record of architectural evolution and implementation. SNAPKITTYWEST is intended as a research platform for exploring trustworthy software systems, formal verification, compiler construction, deterministic AI infrastructure, and reproducible computational workflows. This release represents an active research software platform. Some modules are experimental, APIs may evolve, and several components remain under active development.

Abstract

SNAPKITTYWEST is an open-source sovereign computing framework that explores the intersection of systems programming, formal methods, cryptographic provenance, agent governance, and compiler design through a modular, local-first architecture. The current release comprises 18 interrelated software modules spanning linear type systems, compiler infrastructure, cryptographic addressing, finite-field arithmetic, distributed agent governance, esoteric programming language research, topological quantum computing experiments, port-Hamiltonian differential-algebraic equation modeling, and append-only WORM (Write Once, Read Many) artifact management. The architecture emphasizes deterministic execution, reproducibility, and verifiable software engineering through: Linear resource management implemented via a five-level type hierarchy (lin, aff, un, cap, seal) Cryptographically sealed artifact provenance using append-only SHA-256 WORM chains Deterministic canonical addressing through snapaddr:<64hex> content identifiers Goldilocks prime field arithmetic over p=264−232+1p = 2^{64} - 2^{32} + 1p=264−232+1 for finite-field computation Formal verification workflows integrating Lean 4 with deterministic compilation pipelines Policy-driven agent governance for auditable multi-agent execution Local-first infrastructure designed to minimize dependence on centralized cloud services This release expands the ecosystem with several new components, including: sovereign-addr — deterministic canonical content addressing (snapaddr:<64hex>) sovereign-prism — OCaml implementation of a typed ψ-pipeline for structural inference sovereign-pirtm — C++ compiler infrastructure for typed intermediate representations sovereign-agt — C# governance framework for agent identity, policy enforcement, and orchestration sovereign-multiplicity — deterministic execution and computational algebra modules sovereign-adr — architectural decision record framework root-fontana — constitutional compiler and symbolic governance layer Development is tracked through Git with cryptographically verifiable commit history beginning 2026-05-07, providing a reproducible record of architectural evolution and implementation. SNAPKITTYWEST is intended as a research platform for exploring trustworthy software systems, formal verification, compiler construction, deterministic AI infrastructure, and reproducible computational workflows. This release represents an active research software platform. Some modules are experimental, APIs may evolve, and several components remain under active development.
