Hypoglycaemia care: Time to modernise our treatment standards
This editorial argues that hypoglycaemia self care should move beyond 'any sugar will do' and define what good recovery after treatment should involve. It proposes recovery-focused standards using CGM metrics, such as time-in-range and repeat lows after treatment, alongside participant-reported recovery, so existing and emerging approaches, including MESH formulations, can be evaluated fairly against modern evidence-based standards.
