Conscience as the Mechanism of Internal Feedback.

This paper examines conscience as the mechanism of internal feedback within the framework of Vitology as an interdisciplinary research program centered on the concept of system viability. Conscience is understood as the universal internal capacity of viable systems to evaluate the correspondence between their current functioning and the Norm of Harmony. Unlike approaches that interpret conscience primarily as a moral, psychological, religious, or philosophical phenomenon, Vitology considers conscience a universal mechanism of internal feedback manifested wherever systems are capable of evaluating their own state, detecting deviations, initiating corrective processes, and preserving coordinated systemic integrity. Particular attention is devoted to the relationship between Conscience and Awareness (Aw), Coordination (Con), Coordinated Systemic Integrity (CON), the Integral Model of System Viability (Aw → Con → CON), the Norm of Harmony, Feedback, Self-Regulation, Regeneration, Adaptation, Systemic Noise (Noise), and the continuous preservation and progressive development of system viability. Keywords Vitology, conscience, internal feedback, system viability, Awareness, Aw, Coordination, Con, Coordinated Systemic Integrity, CON, Integral Model of System Viability, Norm of Harmony, Feedback, Self-Regulation, Regeneration, Adaptation, Systemic Noise, Noise, resilience, emergence.
