Outside Back Cover: Upcycling Water Pollutants Into Long‐Chain Polymers via Synergistic Interfacial Dechlorination and Organic Radical Stabilization
High entropy oxide nanocatalysts tune interfacial electronic structure to activate periodate through a nonradical electron-transfer pathway, converting four-chlorophenol into surface-enriched, high-molecular-weight polymeric products. Coupled radical-driven dechlorination and surface-bound hydroxyl radical substitution retain the aromatic carbon skeleton while selectively removing chlorine, enabling efficient pollutant upcycling with low oxidant demand at the liquid–solid interface.
