CART-immune-related adverse events after BCMA CAR-T therapy
B cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-directed chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy (BCMA CAR-T) is now a standard of care for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) after first-line therapy. Two BCMA CAR-T products are currently approved in the United States: idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel) and ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel). Both therapies induce deep and durable responses in heavily pretreated patients, with cilta-cel associated with longer progression-free survival compared with ide-cel.
