Observation as Temporal Record Formation: A Conditional Chronos/X Model of Two-Path Interference

This working paper develops a conditional Chronos/X model of two-path quantum interference in which observation is treated as temporal record formation rather than passive awareness. The model represents measurement as the creation of path-dependent temporal pointer states whose overlap controls the interference term. The paper derives a conditional theorem stack showing that, if measurement records are coherent temporal pointer states encoding path-dependent Chronos/X histories, then interference suppression follows from temporal-record distinguishability and phase shift follows from Chronos action difference. In the locally linear Chronos/X limit, the model predicts a first-harmonic phase residual and second-harmonic visibility residual under apparatus rotation, with scaling, reconstruction, and null/failure conditions. This document is presented as theoretical working notes and a conditional mathematical framework. It does not claim empirical proof that the Chronos/X field is physically real; physical validation remains open.
